» What's the difference between office hours and gate hours?

 

The office hours are the hours of operation for the property when the facility manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The gate/access hours are the hours your rental unit can be accessed using your assigned electronic gate code. Access is during the specified gate hours.

 

Please note that payments made on delinquent accounts after storage facility business hours will not allow gate access or ensure overlock removal until the next business day. 

 

» What is the difference between a climate and non-climate units?
Climate control is a feature that we offer at many of our facilities around the country. Climate controlled units are cooled or heated to protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures. Non-climate does not have that guarantee.

 

» What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit is a ground floor or outdoor unit that has its own loading area. These units are ideal for storing large, heavy items or equipment as you have the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck. 

 

» Do you offer parking for the storage of boat/car/motorcycle?
We do have limited space for renting parking for the storage of boats, trailers, cars and jetski’s.  

 

» Can I buy boxes and other packing products from Kangaroo?
Yes.   We offer a variety of boxes and packing supplies. 

 

» Do I get a lock when I rent a unit?
You can purchase a new, sealed lock at our facility and no one else will have a key to that lock or you can bring in your own. 

 

» Can anybody drive onto this property or do you need a PIN number?
Our facility has an electronic gate system which can only be opened by a code that is assigned to each individual tenant. 

 

» What are the payment terms?
Kangaroo wants to make your storage experience stress-free, including paying your bill. We offer the convenience of Auto Pay, which will automatically charge your MasterCard® or Visa® each month without additional fees. You can also pay with cash, check, money order, check or credit card in our office, mail your check, use our night drop box or take advantage of your bank's online bill payment system for no extra charge.

 

» Do I need insurance for my stored goods?
It is preferred as you are responsible for those items you store at Kangaroo and coverage is not provided from us. 

 

» What kind of documentation is required to rent a storage unit?
One of the following forms of identification; state issued identification card, driver’s license, passport, or military ID. 

 

» Do I need to give you a notice when I am ready to move out?
Advance notice is appreciated, but not required. However, your move-out should be completed prior to the 1st of the next month to avoid a new month’s rental fee.

 

» What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?
We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your storage needs. Kangaroo unit sizes range from 5x10, 5X15, 10x10, 10x15, 10x20, 10x25 or 10x30.
